08/31/16 - Willmar Surgery Center, a joint venture of ACMC Health and Rice Memorial Hospital Unveil New Surgery Center
Willmar Surgery Center unveiled plans for the approximately $11 million new home for Willmar Surgery Center, a joint venture of ACMC Health and Rice Memorial Hospital.
The project will take about one year to complete and patients will start being seen in the new facility, located between their current building and ACMC's Willmar Clinic by the end of 2017. This location was selected to ensure surgery services were convenient for patients to receive – staying on the current campus.
The current surgery center will be fully operational until the new facility opens, so patients shouldn't experience any disruptions. "The biggest benefits to our patients is the additional space in the new surgery center and room to expand service offerings and accommodate additional surgeons," says Steve Gerberding, ACMC Health Administrator.
"From the time you come through the door until you leave, you will appreciate the quality and professionalism of our experienced team in our new environment," says Mike Schramm, Willmar Medical Services President and Rice Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer.
Willmar Surgery Center is a joint venture between ACMC Health and Rice Memorial Hospital that specializes in surgery, GI endoscopy, and pain management. Learn more at www.willmarsurgery center.com.
