12/20/16 - ACMC Welcomes New Neurologist & Sleep Medicine Physician, Dr. Eric Hernandez
ACMC Health is pleased to welcome Neurologist and Sleep Medicine physician, Eric Hernandez, MD, PhD.
Dr. Hernandez received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and earned his Medical Degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree from Georgetown University Medical Center.
He went on to complete a transitional internship in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center, and completed a residency in Neurology with the University of Minnesota. Dr. Hernandez went on to complete his fellowship in Neurophysiology from the University of Minnesota and then a fellowship in Sleep Medicine with HCMC, Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center.
He is Board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine, and comes to ACMC from his most recent position with Noran Neurological Clinic in Blaine, MN.
As a Neurologist Dr. Hernandez specializes in treating illnesses, disorders, and injuries involving the nervous system including: epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, stroke and more.
Dr. Hernandez has a special interest in Sleep Medicine, and sees all types of patients with sleep problems including insomnia, shift work, narcolepsy, restless legs, sleep apnea and more. Dr. Hernandez will also read sleep studies performed at the Willmar Sleep Center, located at Rice Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Hernandez will begin seeing patients at the ACMC-Willmar clinic location in January 2017. He is now accepting new patients.
