07/12/18 - Eye Surgeon and Ophthalmologist, Dr. Ina Drown, joins Carris Health Eye Care Team


Carris Health is pleased to welcome Eye Surgeon and Ophthalmologist, Dr. Ina Drown, to its eye care team. Dr. Drown will begin seeing patients at the Carris Health Clinic-Willmar Skylark Center, formally ACMC Health-Skylark Center, in August.

Dr. Drown completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. She then earned her Doctorate in Medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE.

Dr. Drown completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Ophthalmology at Scott & White Memorial Hospital through Texas A&M. She then finished fellowship training in Neuro-ophthalmology at Dean A. McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, OK through the University of Oklahoma.

As an ophthalmologist, Dr. Drown will provide comprehensive medical treatment for eye diseases including eye infections and injuries, cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and neurological diseases affecting the eye. She performs cataract surgery, laser procedures and eyelid surgery.

Prior to joining Carris Health, Dr. Drown was an ophthalmologist at the Great River Eye Clinic for the past 18 years in Crosby and Baxter, MN. She recently relocated to the Willmar area with her husband and two sons.
