When an unexpected injury or illness happens, you can count on ACMC Urgent Care to provide immediate care when your regular clinic is closed or you're unable to see your primary doctor as soon as you'd like. Most ACMC clinics offer same day urgent care services for non-emergency problems.

Laboratory and diagnostic x-ray services are available with urgent care.

Conditions treated in urgent care include—but are not limited to:

  • Sprains/fractures
  • Broken bones
  • Fever
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Minor lacerations
  • Minor burns
  • Muscle aches and pains
  • Bronchitis
  • Abscesses
  • Migraine headaches
  • Stomach flu
  • Sore throat/strep throat
  • Minor cuts and bruises
  • Ear pain
  • Swimmer's ear
  • Eye irritation
  • Pink eye or stye
  • Insect sting or tick bite
  • Splinter removal
  • Skin infections

Urgent Care is not intended for routine or chronic medical care. It is important to see a primary health care provider for regular and preventive health services.

What happens after you leave urgent care?
After your urgent care visit you will be advised about any follow-up procedures and notified about any abnormal lab work or x-rays. A record of your visit may also be sent to your primary ACMC health care provider, who can provide follow-up care.

When should you go to the emergency room instead of urgent care?
For more serious and immediate life-threatening situations you should go directly to a hospital's emergency department or call 911 for situations such as:

  • Chest pain or pressure in the chest
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Deep cuts and excessive bleeding
  • Coughing up or vomiting blood
  • Numbness in the face, arm or leg
  • Severe burns
  • Seizures
  • Sudden, severe headaches
  • Head injury
  • Stroke symptoms (sudden or unexpected paralysis)
