Willmar Surgery Center

The Willmar Surgery Center (WSC) is a freestanding, same-day surgical facility located south of ACMC's main building in Willmar. For most patients, the entire stay, including surgery and recovery, is between three to four hours.

At WSC, we do everything possible to make your same-day surgery personal, comfortable and convenient. From the time you come through the door until you leave, you will appreciate the quality and professionalism of our expert, trained team. WSC specializes in surgery, GI endoscopy, and pain management. Willmar Surgery Center is accredited by the AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Amulatory Health Care).

Privileges are available to physicians within and outside the ACMC network.

Participation in Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Patient Experience of Care Survey (OAS CAHPS)

Patient satisfaction and quality of care are top priorities at Willmar Surgery Center (WSC). WSC uses the results of patient satisfaction surveys to make necessary changes to our current processes or workflow to enhance our patient’s overall experience.

An opportunity was presented for Willmar Surgery Center to begin voluntarily participating in a higher level patient satisfaction program called OAS CAHPS (Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Patient Experience of Care Survey).

The survey contains a specific set of questions geared towards a patient’s overall experiences of care in WSC. Participation in this program not only benefits Willmar Surgery Center, but our patients as well. After 12 consecutive months of collecting data, our patient satisfaction results along with other facilities who participate will be reported publicly on www.Medicare.gov. By making our data public, we are not only allowing ourselves to be transparent with our patients, but also giving our patients a clear picture of what to expect when they choose Willmar Surgery Center.
